In fulfilment of promoting GAD advocacies within their university and community, the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) – Gender and Development team comprised of administrators, coordinators, and staffs from Manila (Main) and Taguig Campus held a benchmarking activity on the best practices and experiences of the CvSU Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) on June 22, 2022, at the Babaylan Training Room, GADRC.
Ms. Raecel A. Estebat, GADRC’s In-Charge of Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation, shared an audio-visual presentation of the university’s best practice on GAD that publicized the GADRC’s services including budget allocation, mainstreaming of gender and development in instruction, research, and extension through the conduct of capability building such as trainings, seminars, workshops, and orientations among others. She also shared the establishment of Bookshare Corner and Lactation Station. Moreover, Mr. King David J. Agreda, GAD Coordinator, CvSU Cavite City Campus, and President, MOVE KATROPA shared a synopsis of the establishment of CvSU MOVE KATROPA.
The visitors from TUP Manila and Taguig headed by the GAD Focal Person Ms. Jennifer P. Alinsunod along with the other members of their GADFPS namely Ms. Imelda V. Lay, Ms. Clowee Sarmiento, Mr. Perceival B. Bagadi, Ms. Corazon B. Boñola, Ms. Cherry G. Pascion, Mr. Hero De Guzman, Ms. Melissa D. Menes, Mr. Jefferson C. Rufo, and Ms. Krystel Alvarado was welcomed by Dr. Susan G. Tan, Director of GADRC along with the GADRC personnel. (MCPSioco)
